American Trucking Associations’ annual Economic Summit is a one-day event that brings together key economic experts and chief economists from several trade associations for an outlook on their respective industries. Attendees will hear about the latest economic indicators and forecasts in the supply chain ecosystem in order to strategize for their budget in the year ahead.

Insights That Can Only Be Gained at This Summit

This event is unlike anything else offered in the trucking industry with interactive panels on the housing industry, consumer spending trends, factory output and an advocacy update from ATA President and CEO Chris Spear. This year, we are adding updates on trade from Bob Costello, ATA Chief Economist & SVP International Trade Policy and Cross-Border Operations, where you can learn how trade tensions are impacting the industry and uncover solutions and strategies for your business to avoid the fallout. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear what their customers or potential customer’s trade association economists are saying about their industries. All these insights can only be gained at this one-day exclusive event with hard-hitting sessions tailored for trucking executives.

A Day Packed With Networking Opportunities

In addition to excellent content, this exclusive event is designed to be a packed day where attendees can learn, ask questions, network and share insights with other transportation and supply chain leaders.

2019 Economic Summit

September 23, 2019

The Mayflower Hotel, Washington, DC

“The ATA’s Economic Summit is far more comprehensive than other summits or conferences that I go to. They are mainly related to trucking or transportation and don’t give you as broad of a view and understanding of issues like the retail sector or construction and how it can impact on trucking. You get that broad view at the Economic Summit.”

Scott Willert , President, America's Service Line

And here at the Summit you were able to get the insights of the retail sector, the steel sector, the plastic sector, the chemical sector all in one day. You were able to really glean some important insights into how each of those segments economists viewed the future.”
