The National Battle of the States: Virtual Truck Driving Championships will be held on August 14 and are reserved for champions of the State Trucking Associations Virtual Competition. To qualify for the August 14 Grand Championship, you must place in the top 10 of your State's competition, similar to how you would for a live NTDC.
What to expect?
45 to 60-minute trivia with 40 questions coming from Facts for Drivers, FMCSA Regulations, and trucking culture.
The professional driver crowned Bendix Grand Champion of the 2021 Battle of the States: National Virtual Truck Driving Championships will be awarded $5,000! The drivers who finish second or third will receive $2,500 and $1,000 respectively.
On August 11-13, we will hold daily contests that are open to all eligible professional truck drivers who pre-register.

National, State-Level and Prize Rounds
To qualify for state and national competitions as well as for prize rounds a driver must remain accident-free – regardless of fault – and be continuously employed by the same motor carrier since August 23, 2020.
To participate in the Battle of the States, a driver must compete in the state his or her CDL and/or Driver’s License was issued in, the state in which the driver has occupational domicile, or the state in which his or her company has corporate domicile. If a driver's CDL and/or Driver’s Licenses is issued in a different state than their corporate domicile, they must choose only one state to compete in. A driver cannot compete in multiple competitions. Rules and requirements can vary slightly from state to state. Please contact your state trucking association for their complete rules.

ATA President & CEO, Chris Spear – TDC Battle of the States Announcement
Professional drivers who cannot find a state to compete in based on their CDL, their occupational domicile or their company headquarters, can participate in the ATA Wild Card Game. The wild card game will be held on July 31st in conjunction with the state competition. The top 10 competitors of the wild card game will qualify for the national competition. Professional drivers can only participate in one State Competition or qualifying competition. To register for the ATA Wild Card Game, please fill out this form and send it to smc@trucking.org.
